INTERNATIONAL VOCAL MASTER CLASS AND CONCERTS              ( AUGUST 16 - 23, 2018) 

 

KIEV, UKRAINE

 

WITH WORLD REKNOWNED SOPRANOS AND PROFESSORS FROM THE USA, Austria and Ukraine  Ms. DARLA DILTZ,  Ms. VICTORIA LOUKIANETZ and  Ms. VIOLETTA ZABBI

     

MAESTRO CHRISTOPHER LYNDON GEE, Principal Guest Conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra of Lithuania, composer, professor, Adelphi University, New York, USA  (Italy/Australia) 

 

8 day long course focusing on classical and romantic song literature in preparation for 3 public performances: 2 with the National Presidential Orchestra of Ukraine and 1 Recital concert.

Group and individual sessions daily with piano and 3 full symphony orchestra rehearsals, followed by a dress rehearsal and Participants 2 public concerts.

Dine and review your day with all of us daily.

The course will include vocal techniques, performance, text and role analysis, interpretation, stage presence, self management and career development. 

The course will be held in English, secondary in German, Italian, Russian and Ukrainian.

Every Active Participant will receive Complimentary Lodging ( 10 days ) and 8 days meal plan to enjoy the KISS festival and Kiev's rich cultural life.

 

 

TRAINING SESSIONS, REHEARSALS AND DISCUSSIONS:

 

Active participants choose a role, Any 2-3 Arias and scenes form the Opera Repertoire list , which they are required to study and prepare in advance.

In addition to required repertoire, each Participant brings 2-3 arias, lieders and ensembles of his/her own choice together with the piano accompaniment.

There will be daily 6 hours of individual and group sessions with piano and 3 symphony orchestra rehearsals in preparation for the Participants' concerts with the symphony orchestra. Several individual practice rooms with pianos will be available.

All the symphony orchestra rehearsals and the Final concert will be video recorded. Please bring your recording devices and/or SD card and USB Flash drive

 

 

ORCHESTRA:     

 

THE NATIONAL PRESIDENTIAL ORCHESTRA OF UKRAINE

 

The Presidential Orchestra of Ukraine was founded in 1992 by the First President of Ukraine with the mission to appear at all the most important Ukrainian Governmental events of national significance. The Orchestra has quickly became a leader in representing of Ukrainian rich orchestral history and music in the world. The Orchestra had collaborated with most noted conductors, soloists and has toured extensively across the world. The Orchestra performs a wide variety of music ranging from a small ensemble to a full symphony orchestra.

The National Presidential Orchestra of Ukraine will be featured at the Independence Day of Ukraine celebration on August 24, 2018

CONCERTS:

 

As a part of the Master Class Festival The KISS of Ukraine 2018 there will be 3 Public Participants' Concerts  on Sunday, August 19 ( Recital ),  Wednesday, August 22 and Thursday, August 23, 2018 ( Symphony Orchestra Concerts )

Each Active Participant is guaranteed a solo appearnace at these concerts

Any additional night of Accomodation could be purchased for $30

HOW TO APPLY

 

Submit electronic application, a non-refundable $50 application fee, a short resume and a short video recording of you performing by June 1, 2018. Upon notification of acceptance, a tuition payment must be made by June 11, 2018. There is an option to pay a half of the tuition ( $550.00 ) by June 11, and the other half on the day of registration in Kiev, Ukraine

Auditors must pay full tuition by June 11, 2018
