INTERNATIONAL CONDUCTING MASTER CLASS and CONCERT
( AUGUST 12 - AUGUST 19, 2018 )
WITH MAESTRO CHRISTOPHER LYNDON GEE ( USA ), assisted by MAESTRO SERGEY GOLUBNICHY ( UKRAINE ) and THE KIEV MUNICIPAL ACADEMIC OPERA and BALLET THEATRE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
A week long course that combines intensive conducting training, seminars, discussions,and Participants' public performance with the Kiev Municipal Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre Symphony Orchestra.
Group and individual sessions with piano, a vocalist and 5 ( five ) full symphony orchestra rehearsals ( no piano, quintet or sextet, not even one- per- part ensemble, but full symphony orchestra only! ) followed by a dress rehearsal and Participants Public concert.
The course will be held in English, secondary in German, Russian and Ukrainian and will take place in Kiev, Ukraine, at the Kiev Municipal Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.
Every Active Participant will receive complimentary 7 days meal plan and complimentary 2 weeks of lodging - one week for the masterclass and another week to enjoy the KISS Festival and Kiev's rich cultural life
Training Sessions, Rehearsals and Discussions
Active Participants choose repertoire,which they are required to study and prepare in advance. They will have up to 90 minutes of podium time with the orchestra. Each conducting session will be concluded with a discussion/seminar. Topics include baton technique, score study, interpretation and rehearsal technique. Several individual practice rooms with pianos will be available.
All podium sessions will be video recorded. Please bring your recording devices and/or SD card and USB Flash drive.
Auditors will attend all sessions and participate in all non-conducting activities
Participants will conduct the Kiev Municipal Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre Symphony Orchestra
As a part of the Master Class Festival The KISS of Ukraine 2018 there will be a Public Participants' Concert at the Kiev Municipal Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre on Sunday, August 19th. Each Active participant is guaranteed to conduct at the concert.

How to Apply
Submit electronic application, a non-refundable $50 application fee, a short resume and 2 (two) video recordings by May 1st, 2018. Upon notification of acceptance, a tuition payment must be made by June 1st, 2018. There is an option to pay a half of the tuition ( $875.00 ) by June 1st and the other half on the day of registration in Kiev, Ukraine. Auditors must pay full tuition by June 1st.
